Tux Venture
Tux Venture, an event which provides a great chance to showcase your creativity ,taste and design skills in the open source arena.
The task here is do design an eye-candy desktop for GNU/Linux.
You are free to use any ICON SETS, WALLPAPERS, THEMES, WINDOW MANAGERS or make them on your own !

Contestants must submit 5 screenshots of your design work which is as follows:
- Desktop with wallpaper of your choice
- Desktop with wallpaper provided by us. The wallpaper to use can be found here.
- With any File Manager open ( Nautilus, Dolphin, Thunar etc. )
- Two screenshots of your own choice ! ( Music player, Any other app..)(optional)
The Screenshots must be in JPG or PNG format with a maximum file size of 1MB each.
You can also provide a screencast in the description file indicating how you design your desktop. Upload it to any popular video sharing service. This counts for your score, but is optional.
A Description file with the following sections:
- Your Name, Address, Phone.
- Screencast link(optional)
- Detailed description of your desktop design (We will be Reading this ! )
Put the 5 Images and the Description file in a .ZIP archive with your pragyan login as the file name (e.g linuxmaster123@gmail.com.zip ) and upload it on the website.
The formats accepted are .zip, .tar, .tar.gz

- The submissions must be ORIGINAL
- The documentation will be used to verify the authenticity of your work. If found to have been manipulated, the submission will be disqualified.
- The submissions must follow the format as specified. Those that do not, will be disqualified
JUDGING CRITERIA
The evaluation will be based on the following factors:
- The eye-candy features of your desktop.
- Originality and creativity used.
- The documentation
