We understand that you have traveled miles to make it to Pragyan and we're here to work towards ensuring that your stay here is pleasant throughout. Come and be a part of this year's Technical Festival of NIT Trichy; let those thoughts and ideas flow without worry of fatigue.
Kindly register for accommodation well in advance.
• To apply for accommodation, please read the instructions carefully and proceed to fill up the online form.
• You can register for a maximum of 5 individuals.
• On completion of the online registration, an acknowledgment mail with your registration number will be sent to your email ID.
• You will be contacted via phone a week beforehand to confirm your visit to Pragyan. That will also serve as a confirmation for your accommodation.
• Last date for accommodation registration is 22nd February 23:59.
• It is mandatory to bring your college ID card and produce a printout of the acknowledgment mail when you arrive at NIT, Trichy.
On arriving at the Campus
• You are required to report at the PR desk.
• Female participants are requested to reach the campus before 10.30 pm on the day of arrival.
• All external participants/visitors must register at the PR desk by producing their college ID card. Only registered visitors will be eligible to participate in events.
Registration fee: Rs. 100.
• Following this, participants who require accommodation must register at the adjacent Hospitality Desk by producing a printout of the acknowledgement mail sent to them. The hospitality charges are:
• Accommodation Fee: Rs. 100 per day per head (Food not included)
• Caution Deposit (refundable) Rs. 200.
• Hospitality Desk will be functioning only from 5 PM, 28th February 2013.
• You will be issued a Pragyan Hospitality booklet/ID Card along with the registration kit. You are advised to keep this booklet/ID Card along with your institute ID card with you at all times during the four days of the festival. Without your institute ID card your Pragyan Hospitality Booklet/ID Card will be considered invalid.
NIT-Trichy is located about 22 km from Tiruchurapalli Junction / Central Bus stand on the Trichy-Thanjavur Highway.
The simplest and most economical way to reach NIT-Trichy is by bus. Any city Bus at Tiruchirapalli Junction will take you to the central bus stand. Board Thanjavur bound mofussiful or route bus. The journey time from Trichy will be around 40 minutes.
The executive way of reaching NIT-Trichy will be hiring a taxi. Taxis may charge around Rs.400/-. Trichy is connected by road to Chennai (320 km) and to all major towns in South India by regular bus services. Tiruchirapalli is an important junction on the Southern Railway. It connects Chennai, Thanjavur, Madurai, Tuticorin, Tirupati, Rameswaram, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Cochin and Mangalore. It has an international airport, and is connected with Chennai (Madras),Singapore, Colombo, Kuwait, Sharjah, Calicut. Indian Airlines connects Trichy with Chennai, Sharjah, Calicut Kuwait and Colombo. SriLankan Airlines connects Tiruchirapalli with Colombo.
