Pragyan ‘14 brings you the state of art robotic technology with the ‘Speech, PC & Internet Controlled Robotics’ workshop allowing you to learn the intricacies of building a robot that can be controlled by speech, your PC or even via internet.
And we have better news.
On the basis of the performance during the workshop, the best teams will be shortlisted for a competition at IIT, Delhi followed by an opportunity to go international with a competition in South Korea (I.N.S.P.I.R.E 2014).The top two teams will be selected for winter internship in R&D with Robogenesis.
In a span of 2 days, you will be able to make:

• Parts of a Robot – Actuators, power supply, sensors
• Wireless Communication
1. IR Communication
2. Encoder and Decoder
3. Problem of Jamming
• Mobile Controlled Robot
1. DTMF Working Principle
2. DTMF IC
• Computer Controlled Robot
1. Parallel Port
2. Visual Basic
• Mechanical Assembly of Robot
• Wiring of DPDT switches
• Testing of the Bot

And it doesn’t end with just the workshop. Certain teams will be shortlisted from the workshop based on your performance and sent to a competition in IIT,Delhi which will be followed by a competition in South Korea. (I.N.S.P.I.R.E 2014). So don’t miss this chance to be international!

1. Does the workshop have any prerequisites?
The workshop is open to students from all branches. There are no prerequisites for attending the workshop
2. How should the payment be made for the workshop?
When you register for the workshop, a mail containing the payment details will be sent to you. Please follow the instructions in the mail.
3. What should I bring for the workshop?
You should bring your college ID card, Dongle (at least one per team) and Laptop.
4. On what basis are workshop registrations confirmed?
Registrations are confirmed after payment on first come first serve basis. Confirmation of your participation is subject to availability.
5. Will the fees paid for the workshop be refunded in case I fail to attend the workshop?
Fees once paid, is strictly non-refundable. Requests for refund will not be encouraged.
6. Will accommodation be provided?
Yes. We provide accommodation depending on the availability and your place of residence. You will have to register separately for that. Stay tuned to the
website for updates on accommodation.
7. Will certificates be provided?
Yes. A certificate from Pragyan, the ISO certified Techno-Management Festival of NIT, Trichy with UNESCO patronage will be provided after the completion of the workshop.
8. On what date will the workshop be held?
When you register for the workshop you can give your preferred date. However, the allotment of the date and time slot is subject to availability. After
your registration is confirmed, a detailed mail containing the date and time allotted will be sent.
