IoTchallenge

IoT is the next Big thing in today's world which can be used to extend Internet into our day to day life and create a physically networked world in which all electronic devices are connected via a wireless network to form a globally intelligent infrastructure.

In this challenge, participants use IoT to solve a day to day problem.

Prizes worth INR 35,000

Please post your queries related to this event at http://discuss.pragyan.org/t/iot-challenge-event/53

Preliminary Round : Teams need to submit their abstract by 22.01.2015. Abstract must give a detailed explanation of their idea and how they propose to go about their idea step by step with a block diagram. Also analyse the feasibility of your proposed idea in day to day life and why it is better than the existing solutions.

20 teams will be shortlisted based on the abstracts submitted. They will receive Texas Instruments CC3200 Module to work on. The given components must be compulsorily used for the project. Any other component required by you can be purchased by you and used for the final implementation.

Reviews:

Selected teams should update their progress :

First update must be done on or before 10/02/2015. The submission should be of a full circuit diagram of their project with very specific component details.

Second update must be done on or before 20/02/2015

(The rate of progress and the consistency of work will also be considered while judging)

Final Round :

Teams should produce a working prototype of their proposed idea and will be judged based on that. This will happen during Pragyan at NIT Trichy.

1. Students from any college or university can participate in this competition.

2. There should be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of four members per team.

3. Your team must register for the event at Pragyan 15 Website.

4. Only the selected 20 teams will get the participation certificate.

5. The project has to be done with the components provided by Texas Instruments.
