Amrita Shah is a journalist and writer, well known for her pioneering investigations into the Mumbai underworld. She has worked for Time magazine, edited Debonair and Elle and been a contributing editor with The Indian Express. She is the author of Hype, Hypocrisy & Television in Urban India, Vikram Sarabhai: A Life and Ahmedabad: A City in the World. She is an alumna of the Institute for Public Knowledge, New York University and Visiting Faculty at the Centre for Contemporary Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
