Ever thought of having Sachin and Gilchrist opening the batting for your team? Warne and Murali bowling together? Think you have it in you to be the ultimate strategist? Do you spend your time second guessing coaches and captains? Do you possess the wits the management skills, and the cricketing knowledge required to emerge victorious in a battle of brains? If your answer to any of those questions is an affirmative, then Pragyan XI awaits you.
Come February, and participate in an event bound to capture the imagination of the Cricket fan. Pragyan Premier League offers you a chance to exhibit your knowledge and skills and of course, you get rewarded amply for these!! The Pragyan Premier League(PPL) is a virtual cricket-based management game that tests the strategy skills of the contestants. Build your team and Game On!
Event Details
- This will be a 2 day event consisting of 3 rounds.
- Maximum Number of participants per team is 2.
Round 1-Elimination will be conducted on Day 2 of Pragyan.
- There will be one written test(tentatively)-10 am to 11 am.
- Written quiz that tests IQ, general knowledge on cricket and strategy.
- The participants are given a time of 60 minutes for filling in their answers.
- The top 24 teams go ahead to the next round.
Round 2-Round Robin Stage will be conducted on Day 2 of Pragyan.
- The 24 teams selected will be put into 8 groups.
- $ 10 million will be given to each team to spend on players.
- They will have to choose a team of 11 from a pool of 160 players available to them.
- There is an additional option to choose a coach if required.
- Top team in each pool gets through to the next round.
- Profiles for each player include cost and the career record.
- A virtual match is conducted between teams to decide the winner.
Round 3-An auction and the semifinals will be conducted on Day 3 of Pragyan.
- The remaining 8 teams will battle it out for the winner’s spot.
- There will be a live auction wherein all the 8 teams will bid to get the players of their choice.
Event Rules
- All teams must be selected in the stipulated time given.
- If a team does not select their playing 11 in the stipulated time, they would be knocked out.
