The learning, seeing and doing can be done at all other insane events at  Pragyan, but crime busters, a non-technical event is sure to take your mind off all the robotics and brain cracking coding. Nevertheless, don’t make the mistake of underestimating its challenge as it is sure to push even the fastest minds to the hilt in logic, originality and ultimately brilliance. An event which has been held loved since the start of Pragyan by NITTians and visitors alike, this event is a hallmark of uncomplicated, yet nerve stimulating fun at a tech fest.

 

 

So what are you waiting for-get your thinking caps on, jump into the bat mobile and ride into Crime busters@  Pragyan 2012 and help inspector Gordon bust the criminals.

 
  • It is an on the spot event where the preliminary round consists of logical questions, brain teasers and GK questions.
     
  • A maximum of 10 teams will be filtered for the finals.
     
  • The final round comprises of two stages.

     

    • First Stage : Teams' basic knowledge in solving questions based on picture analysis, situational cases etc. will be tested.
       
    • Final Stage : A mystery case file will be given and teams should solve it in the given time frame.

 

  • A team can consist of a maximum of 3 participants.
     
  • Final winners will be those who solve the case with perfection, deciphering the maximum number of clues and thus providing the complete evidence pointing to the culprit.
     
  • If the team can find the motive of crime, bonus points will be given.
     
  • In case of a tie, points in other stages of events may be considered.If participants seek extra clues other than which is given in the case file, then points will be deduced for them.
     
  • Malpractice during any stage of the event will lead to disqualification of the whole team.
     
  • At any stage, the decision of judges will be final.
     
  • Any rules are viable to change and will be announced before the commencement of the event.
