EVENT IS COMPLETED

The prize money is as follows:

Winner:  INR 6000

Runner Up:  INR 3600

Second Runner Up:  INR 2400

  • The event comprises two rounds.

  • The competition is eliminatory.

  • The top 10 from round one would qualify for the final round.

ROUND 1

This round is a live quiz that will be conducted via Hackerearth platform (subject to change). The quiz consists of questions, each of which will be limited by time (not exceeding 30 seconds). Ties will be settled by time of completion, with the advantage going to the earlier solver. 10 of the best scorers will head to the second round.

ROUND 2

In this round the participants will have to pick their top three guesses for each question. Those who choose the ones with the highest cumulative percentage of occurrence (in the responses of a survey conducted by us) will get the max points, say, 10, the second best will get 9, the third best will get 8 and so on.

An example of such a question would be:

Name Something You Fill With Air.

● Balloons

● Tires

● Diving kit

● Beach ball

● Raft/inner tubes

● Floaties

● Sports balls (basketballs/soccer balls)

● Airbags

● Lungs

● Air mattresses

Other details will be explained during the conduction of the round.

  • This is an individual event.

  • However, teams will be formed momentarily in round 2, with random members, for elimination purposes.

POINTS TO NOTE FOR ROUND 1:

  • The link for the quiz will be passed on to the participants before the scheduled time for round 1.

  • The quiz will be monitored by the organisers throughout.

POINTS TO NOTE FOR ROUND 2:

  • The second round will be conducted in, say, Zoom, and the participants will be added to separate breakout rooms. Platform is subject to change.

  • The participants will have to stay in the meet throughout.

  • Each participant will be asked the question in a random sequence assigned by the host.

  • If the answer provided by the participant is not in the list of top 10 responses recorded, the percentage for it will be taken as 0.

  • Ties in round 2 will be decided based on the standings in round 1.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  • Anyone suspected of malpractice will be disqualified.

  • No partial points will be awarded for guessing close answers (Round1).

  • In case of disputes, judges' decisions will be final.
