Topic - What does the future look like for Cryptocurrencies and NFTs in India?

1. Jason Rodrigues (Moderator):

Jason Rodrigues is a NITT alumnus and a Partner at Celo, leading some of the global ecosystems of startups that envision establishing an open financial system ensuring everyone's prosperity. He has worked on complex chip-level problems through R&D at Texas Instruments. He is also known to be a strategic product thinker and can always be counted on to bring fresh and innovative ideas to fruition. At both early-stage and publicly listed firms, he has worked on product, go-to-market, developer relations, and adoption/revenue strategy.

2. Abhay Joshi:
Abhay Joshi is a partner in ELP (Economics Law Practice) concentrating on competition law and policy as well as data and technology. With over 10 years of experience as an Indian attorney, he has represented prominent Indian and global multinational firms before the Competition Commission of India and appellate venues in a variety of complicated competition cases. Prior to joining ELP, Abhay Joshi has worked for Singhania & Partners' infrastructure, project finance, and dispute resolution teams. He is known for his client-focused approach and for bringing his diverse experience and innovative thinking to provide solutions to complex problems on a variety of legal issues.

3. Kanishk Gaur:
Kanishk Gaur is a renowned Digital Technology Expert and founder of the India Future Foundation. He advises leading governments throughout the world on Cyber Strategy, Policy, Incident Response, Detection, and Mitigation to safeguard new technologies like AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Cloud. He has over 13 years of experience and has held senior positions with Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), and Synopsis Inc. Before launching India Future Foundation, he worked as a Chief of Staff, Director Consulting, and Strategy Advisor to CXOs/Business Leaders in emerging markets, as well as holding Profit & Loss responsibilities.

4. Sathvik Vishwanath:
Sathvik Vishwanath is the founder and CEO of Unocoin.com, which specializes in providing bitcoin services for the Indian market. He worked in VentureNext in 2008 writing customized scripts for businesses in the virtual world called SecondLife until he was introduced to bitcoin technologies in 2012. He is a successful entrepreneur and was instrumental in leading strategic partnerships and investor relations. He also played the role of CTO architecting and leading the tech team behind Unocoin and its exchange.

5. Udit Misra:
Udit Misra is a writer and associate editor in the Indian Express and writes articles for Explained Speaking on a weekly basis. He has worked as an Assistant Editor in Forbes India, Senior Assistant Editor in the Indian Express and Associate Editor in the Business Standard. His articles are mainly regarding the economy of India concerning a multitude of topics such as GDP growth rates, economic policies and reforms, the status of employment in India and numerous other essential subjects.

6. Varun Sethi:
Varun Sethi is a technical lawyer who acts as an advisor for companies on issues such as international funding, global structuring solutions, corporate taxation, valuations, and cloud accounting. He is also the founder of various legal firms involved in the technical world, such as Blockchain lawyer and Full Stack Lawyer. Moreover, he is the author of Trust of Little Rain Drops, and a partner at Startup TRU.
