One such person who stands true to this statement is S Gurumurthy. An influential economist and protagonist of the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Gurumurthy always stood against corruption and modern economic policies. Popularly known as a prolific writer and journalist in India who dared the conglomerates, Gurumurthy is a corporate adviser of high standing, being a chartered accountant by profession.

Highly rated for his investigative writing, he has ceaselessly campaigned against corruption at high places,exposing the bribery and the nexus between corporate and government. The issues raised by Gurumurthy had a major impact on the outcome of the parliamentary election in 1989 leading to the defeat of the most powerful government in India since independence. Madhavan's role as Shyam Saxena in movie Guru in 2007 was inspired from Gurumurthy, who was a challenger to business tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani. Rated amongst the top 10 powerful persons in India in 2004, this is one Indian you dont wanna give up the chance to meet.
