Old Town Road
A racing event in which participating teams have to build a remote-controlled vehicle that will compete against those built by others, on track. The track will be prepared in such a way that it consists of different types of terrain to test the ability of the vehicle, and the controller.

Deadline for written abstract Submission is 7th March 2020
On-Campus Round Date: 14th March 2020
Round 1 - Abstract Submission:
- Participating teams have to submit a video of their working prototype which should be able to perform basic movements along with uphill and downhill manoeuvres.
- The last date for abstract submission is 7th March 2020.
- 16 Teams will be shortlisted for the on-campus round.
Round 2 - On-Campus Round:
- This will consist of live racing on a prepared track.
- First stage: The selected 16 teams will be divided into groups of 4. Each group will have one race and the top 2 teams from each group will move to semifinals.
- Semifinals: Races will be conducted in groups of 4 and the top 2 teams from each will advance to the finals.
- Finals: The top 3 finishing teams will be given prizes accordingly.

Each race will have one lap.

The track will have a set number of checkpoints which can be used in case of vehicle malfunction on the track. Participating teams are allowed to pick their vehicles and start from the previous checkpoint (battery changing is not allowed).
Vehicle Restriction:
- Operating battery voltage: less than 15 volts.
- Motor: no restriction on the type of motor used.
- Size of the Car:
- Length: 30-35cm
- Breadth: 20-25cm
- Height: 15-20cm
(The external device which is used to control the machine is not included in the size constraint).
- Radio transmission: The machine has to be necessarily controlled by a wireless remote-control system. Participants are required to use a remote control of frequency of band spectrum 2.4 GHz.
Brief description of Track:
The total distance of the track will be around 50m with sections made up of:

FAQs:
1) How many participants are allowed per team?
A maximum of five participants are allowed per team.
2) Do all participants have to be from the same college?
No. The members of a team can be from different colleges.
3) Is UG-PG collaboration allowed?
Yes. UG-PG collaborations are allowed.
4) How will I be notified if I am selected for the next round?
You will receive a phone call/email if you have qualified.
