Najeeb Jung is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer who served as the 20th Lieutenant Governor of Delhi from July 2013 to December 2016. With active roles in organisations such as the Observer Research Foundation as well as the Asian Development Bank, he has constantly worked for development in social spheres such as education and minority representation. 

He previously served as the 13th Vice-Chancellor of the Jamia Millia Islamia from 2009 to 2013. He has also served as the Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, where he played a crucial role in the privatization of ONGC’s Panna-Mukta onfield.
