If that’s a yes, we got you covered this year with our mixed bag event where you can put all your skills to the test. Participate in an array of events like JAM, Extempore, What’s The Good Word (WTGW), Puzzle Champ, and bag exciting prizes.

EVENT IS COMPLETED

The event consists of three rounds:

First round: Speaking events
-
Participants must speak about a given topic on the spot.

Extempore

JAM
-
Second round: What’s the good word
A combination of different word games, e.g., Spooners, Addagrams, etc.

Third round: Puzzle champ
It consists of different brain teaser challenges.

Teams of two.
-
All the rounds would happen on the zoom platform.
-
Extempore and JAM events will take place simultaneously, so one member for one event.

Written prelims for WTGW and Puzzle champ

Cheating/Misconduct by any means will lead to disqualification.

Topics for the speaking events will be given during the event.
-
The top 2 teams from each event get a prize.

JAM rules:
-
You can’t say the same set of three words thrice; furthermore, you can’t start with the same word thrice. Repetition of a thought or idea multiple times also counts.
-
Deviation from the topic would be considered Irrelevance.
-
Queen’s English: Slang words, American words, abbreviations, shortened words, SMS Lingozz are all not allowed.

Change of pace within sentence and between two sentences are not allowed. You cannot overdramatize any word in the sentence than other words (except first word, OD lenience on the first word). Don’t Change your tone or talk in a sing-song manner.

Do not start with a Verb+ing word in the verb form.

Don’t steal an idea someone else has brought into the topic unless it is generic enough with relation to the topic.

Do not start a sentence with ‘to’ or ‘wh-words’ or ‘how.’

Don’t use hyphenated words.

You cannot stutter, stammer and slur.
-
No time-wasting tactics would be entertained.
Judging criteria:
-
The top 8-10 teams from WTGW and puzzle champ will go to the finals.
-
Extempore and jam scores will be added to declare the winning teams of the speaking round.
