The event consists of 3 rounds- 

1. Quiz (Eliminative Round)

2. Do Not Answer(Eliminative Round)

3. Scribble and Cryptic Crossword

ROUND 1: QUIZ 

This will be an online quiz covering four different categories. Quizzes in each category will be conducted simultaneously. Each of the four members will go for one of the categories. Following are the categories for this round - 

1. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

2. Aptitude

3. Astronomy

4. Science and Tech

Team members are required to decide which category they’ll go with prior to starting the quiz. Participants will receive the test link on their registered emails.

The top 8 teams will proceed to the next round.

ROUND 2: DO NOT ANSWER

The 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each. Each group will play 2 matches and each match will be a maximum of 10 minutes. There will be a face-off of 1 minute between 1 member of each team where they have to reply with a question only. The initial scenario will be given by the host. The participants can think of questions. However, it should not exceed 7 seconds. The event will be supervised by an event coordinator already present in the meeting.

The top 4 teams will proceed further.

ROUND 3

The third round consists of two simultaneous games.

3(A): SCRIBBLE

One member from each team will take part. It is an online Pictionary with one describer, and the remaining three people will guess. Platform details will be released on the day of the event. The participants are not allowed to write the word or use letters, numbers or special characters. An event coordinator will also be present on the platform to monitor the event.

ROUND 3(B): CRYPTIC CROSSWORD

The remaining three members from each of the teams will take part in it. A crossword grid will be shared when the event starts, along with a Google Form with the answer-word grids, i.e., 3 Up, 5 Down etc. Participants will have to submit the Google Form with the answers within the time limit. 

1. Each team must consist of 4 members only.

2. As all the events will happen online, it is the participants’ responsibilities to ensure a good internet connection. 

3. The decision of the event coordinators is final.

4.  Any malpractices will lead to disqualification of the individual and hence the whole team from the competition.

JUDGING CRITERIA

• Round One:

           Total score is calculated by summing up scores in each category.

            In the case of ties, a rapid-fire will decide the winner.

• Round Two:

           The total number of responses contribute to the total score of the team.

           Negative points will be awarded for failing to reply in time.

• Round Three:

           The scoring system for scribble will be the same as that of the mentioned platform.

           For cryptic crossword, points will only be awarded for a correct answer.

           Both the scribble score and cryptic crossword scores will be added up for the total score in round-3

• Time of submission considered for tie-breaking. 
• Bonus points for finishing the grid.
